The Importance of QC Photos
QC photos are your only opportunity to catch problems before an item leaves China. Once an item ships internationally, returning it becomes prohibitively expensive. A thorough QC review takes five minutes per item and can save you from receiving defective, incorrect, or damaged products. This checklist systematizes that review so you never miss a critical detail.
Lovegobuy provides multiple photos per item: overall view, close-up detail, size label, and packaging. Some items include additional photos if you request them during order submission. Use every available photo. Sellers sometimes send the correct item in QC but switch it before warehouse arrival, though this is rare. More commonly, the item itself has manufacturing defects that QC reveals.
Our spreadsheet includes a QC priority rating for each item. High-priority items are those with known quality variance, complex construction, or frequent batch changes. These deserve extra scrutiny. Low-priority items like plain T-shirts rarely have issues but should still be checked for color accuracy and size label verification.
Checklist
Verify color accuracy under consistent lighting.
Check size label matches your ordered size.
Inspect seams for straight stitching and loose threads.
Confirm print or embroidery is centered and level.
Look for stains, holes, pilling, or odor.
For shoes: verify both are same size and colorway.
Clothing QC Checklist
For every clothing item, verify these six points. First, color accuracy. Compare the QC photo against the listing photo under similar lighting conditions. Colors vary between cameras and monitors, but major discrepancies like navy versus black are unacceptable. Second, size label verification. The label should match your ordered size. If you ordered a large and the label says medium, flag the discrepancy immediately.
Third, construction quality. Check seams for straight stitching, no loose threads, and even tension. Fourth, print or embroidery alignment. Graphics should be centered and level. Fifth, fabric texture. The material should match the listing description, whether cotton, polyester, or a blend. Sixth, damage inspection. Look for stains, holes, pilling, or odor that indicates a used or defective item.
For jackets and technical garments, add three more checks. Zipper functionality, with smooth operation and no misalignment. Hardware quality, including button attachment and snap closure tension. Interior lining, which should be cleanly attached without bunching or exposed seams. The spreadsheet includes category-specific QC guides that expand on these basics.
Quality Score Summary
Shoes and Accessories QC Checklist
Shoes require their own inspection routine. First, verify that both shoes are the same size and colorway. Mismatched pairs occasionally slip through. Second, check sole construction for glue residue, uneven bonding, or separation. Third, inspect upper material for scratches, color inconsistency, or flawed embossing. Fourth, verify insole branding and interior stitching.
Accessories vary by type but share common inspection points. Bags need stitching verification at stress points, hardware tarnish check, and zipper functionality. Belts need buckle attachment strength, leather grain consistency, and hole punch alignment. Sunglasses need lens clarity, frame symmetry, and hinge tension.
For every category, take screenshots of QC photos that concern you. These screenshots serve as evidence if you need to request a return or open a dispute. Lovegobuy's warehouse staff will compare your concerns against the actual item, and clear photo evidence speeds resolution significantly.
